Return Policy

If you bought Caterpillar parts:

All qualified in store and online parts purchases are returnable within 365 days of purchase, if they are still in their original, unopened, sealed package, and they are in new, saleable condition. All returns are subject to a minimum 10% re-stocking fee. Any freight or courier fees incurred for parts services are non-refundable. Returns will be processed within a 48-hour period and appear on your account thereafter.

Methods for processing new Caterpillar parts returns are as follows:

Parts returns may be brought back to any of our locations and a return slip will be processed for you at that time.  If you are unable to return your parts to one of our locations or require assistance, please contact your local branch and we can review alternative options available to help facilitate the return.  Please note that any costs incurred with alternative return options are the responsibility of the customer.

If you bought non-Caterpillar parts:

Parts in stock in their original, unopened, sealed package, and in new, saleable condition can be returned within 90 days of date of purchase. All returns are subject to a minimum 10% re-stocking fee.

Non-stock parts that had to be specially ordered require return authorization from the manufacturer and can be returned within 90 days of date of purchase. They must be in their original, unopened, sealed package, and in new, saleable condition. All returns are subject to a minimum 10% re-stocking fee plus return freight charges.

If you bought parts for allied lines that we support:

Please talk to your local Milton CAT Parts Department.

For core returns:

• Remanufactured cores with a suffix of “EX” must be returned within 14 days of purchase.
• Remanufactured cores with a suffix of “OR,” “IOR,” or “2OR” must be returned within 60 days of purchase.

The following items are non-returnable:

• Made-as-ordered or MAO parts (Ex. Hydraulic Hoses & Battery Cables).
• Non-stock parts under $20.00.
• Gasket kits with a broken tamperproof seal.
• Literature.
• Software.
